Scott Free Racing Wins in Sarasota 4th of July Weekend
July 7, 2016Scott Free Racing always looks forward to the Sarasota Power Boat Grand Prix every year not only because it is a hometown race, but because it is one of the biggest races on the 2016 schedule. "This is a huge event for our team, thousands of fans come out and the race is broadcasted on national television", said Stephen Kildahl. The event kicked off with a block party Friday night which allowed fans to see the boats up close and interact with the team members. Over 20,000 came out for the block party and it was a great event for the teams and fans. Saturday the team prepared for Sunday's race and the conditions were expected to be moderate to light chop. On Sunday the team was fully prepared and conditions were a little but rougher than expected but the boat handled the conditions excellent and Steve & Stephen led the race from the green flag to checkered flag. Over 30,000 people back the Lido Beach and received a great day of racing. You will see Scott Free Racing next in St Clair, MI July 29-31.
