Scott Free Racing Captures First Win of 2017
June 7, 2017Scott Free Racing traveled up to Lake of the Ozarks, MO to compete in the Lake Race sanctioned by Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA). This is the third year the team has attended this event, which happens to be in the backyard for title sponosr Boat Floater Industries. "We enjoy coming to this event and it allows employees from Boat Floater Industreis to come out to the race and see what everything is about", said Stephen Kildahl. The team particiaped in the block party at Bagnel Dam Friday night signing autographs and letting fans get a close look at the boat before race day on Saturday. With smooth conditions in the forecast the team made the proper setup changes to accomodate for the fast conditons. On race day the team was prepared and took the lead at the start and never looked back bringin home the checkered flag in the Super Vee Light catergory. "The boat ran great, and we just never looked back", said Stephen. Scott Free Racing will compete next in Sarasota, FL for the Sarasota Power Boat Grand Prix on July 2nd and this will not be a race you will want to miss!
