Scott Free Racing Battles Calm Waters to Secure 4th Place at Midwest Challenge

Scott Free Racing took to the waters of Lake Michigan for Round 5 of the APBA Offshore Championship Series at the Midwest Challenge in Sheboygan, WI. The event was a fantastic experience, with enthusiastic fans who enjoyed the spectacle of the boats arriving in town and the energy of race day.

On race day, Lake Michigan presented calm waters, a stark contrast to the rougher conditions we've faced in previous rounds. While the conditions made for smooth racing, they also highlighted a challenge for our team—top-end speed. Despite pushing hard, we found ourselves unable to match the pace of the leading boats, ultimately finishing in 4th place.

Though we had hoped for a better result, we’re proud of our efforts and are already shifting our focus to the next round. With Round 6 taking place in our hometown of Sarasota, FL, we're excited to return to familiar waters and compete in front of our home crowd. The team is committed to making the necessary adjustments to improve our performance and aim for a podium finish.
