Scott Free Racing Sends It to a Podium Finish in Michigan City

Scott Free Racing brought the heat to Michigan City this past weekend for the Great Lakes Grand Prix, powering to a solid 2nd place finish in front of an incredible crowd of offshore racing fans.

The team rolled into Michigan City with momentum and high hopes, and the weekend kicked off in style with one of the best block parties of the season. The local fans showed up in full force, packing the downtown area to meet the teams, check out the boats, and share in the excitement of the sport. The energy and support from the community made the event truly special for everyone involved.

On race day, conditions on Lake Michigan were relatively calm with just enough bump to keep teams on their toes. From the green flag, Scott Free Racing settled into a strong pace, holding their line and running clean laps. However, despite the solid setup and smooth driving, the team struggled to find the top-end speed needed to make a push for the lead.

?We gave it everything we had out there,? said driver Stephen Kildahl. ?The boat ran great and the team executed well, but in the end we just didn?t have quite enough to reel in the leaders. Still, we are proud to bring home a podium finish and grateful for the amazing support from the Michigan City fans all weekend long.?

With another podium result in the books, Scott Free Racing continues to build consistency heading into the final stretch of the season. The team is already back to work analyzing data and making adjustments to get that extra speed needed for the next round.
